Luiz Da Silva, PhD – President & CEO
Dr. Da Silva is a founder of IntelaMetrix. He has a Ph.D. in physics from the University of British Columbia and more than 10 years of experience in medical device research and development. Dr. Da Silva is internationally recognized for his research; he is an expert in ultrasound, optics, lasers and their applications to medical devices and diagnostics. He has worked in industry, university and national laboratory settings, and worked as a consultant to medical companies including Johnson & Johnson, Guidant, and Boston Scientific. He is a fellow of the American Physical Society and the Optical Society of America and is currently on the scientific advisory board of the University of California, Davis National Science Foundation Center for Biophotonics Science and Technology. He has over 200 publications and 50 patents, and his research has earned him awards from the American Physical Society, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), R&D 100 and the Department of Energy.
Heidi Stark – Director of Finance & Operations
Heidi has been with IntelaMetrix since it was founded in September 2004. She has extensive management experience working with start-up companies in the medical device and consumer product industries including ImagiNail, DermaHealth Systems, and Therative, Inc. Heidi is the CFO for IntelaMetrix. She also manages the day-to-day operations of the company including inventory control, sales, and marketing. Heidi is also co-founder and CFO for Cobalt Consulting, LLC, a technology incubator located in Livermore, CA.
Usha Kasthuri - Director of RA & QA
Usha Kasthuri has a Masters in Biomedical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and a Bachelors in BioTechnology from Anna University. Usha has over 10 years of extensive research and developement experience in the field of medical device. Her research experience ranges from consumer medical products to breast cancer diagnosis. As a principle investigator she has been awarded several Federal Grants. Usha also has extensive experience in regulatory and quality assurance such as FDA. She oversees the Intelametrix Regulatory and Quality Compliance.
